The Ontario Community Environment Fund (OCEF) redistributes funds collected from environmental penalties to local organizations to support their environmental work?

This year, Ontario is making history by investing nearly $3 million in 26 community-led projects through the OCEF program.

One of the latest recipients is Goderich to Guelph (G2G) Rail Trail, who is using these funds to remove invasive species like Common Buckthorn and Garlic Mustard from portions of the trail, and planting native trees and shrubs in their place – important work that will help protect this greenspace, support recreation, and boost local tourism
