I live along Highway 21 between the airport and provincial park with my husband David and our dog Luna. Born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario I spent my career in Toronto, Kitchener and Ottawa.

 

I have a background in marketing and communications, but the majority of my career was in economic development management with local boards of municipalities where I represented the interests of property owners and small businesses.  I managed budgets of $1.5 million, staff, streetscape infrastructure, and public programs.  I worked directly with the City of Ottawa on capital road and transportation infrastructure projects, official plan policies, municipal budgets, community consultations, site plan applications, zoning, and bylaw regulations. This included daily engagement with municipal councillors, city departments, project consultants, emergency response services, and social services.

 

Throughout my career I served on numerous boards at the municipal, provincial, national, and international level, including destination marketing as a board member of Ottawa Tourism.  I was also a member of the local host city committee of two Juno Awards shows in Ottawa.

 

Since arriving in ACW four years ago, I have been active in helping to form The Bluffs at Huron Community Association (BCA) and the community’s website. Along with my husband, I am also active in producing numerous social events at The Bluffs raising thousands of dollars for the community's Social Committee. In the winter of 2025, I organized a petition that successfully opened 900 metres of Highway 21 from Blyth Road to the entrance of The Bluffs at West Coast Way during winter road closures. The road is now open so that residents can lawfully return home during a winter highway closure.​​​
